Kristin and Vince were married at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, "where the river meets the sea". It was a beautiful sunny day in July and just as Kristin began her walk down the isle with her dad ... drip, drip, drip went the rain drops. A sprinkle turned into a shower, and a shower turned into a down pour. But this couple didn't let it "rain on their day". They calmly smiled at each other as the rain came down and the Inn rushed out umbrella's to hold over them. No sooner did the downpour begin then suddenly, it stopped! Kristin called to her guests "come back, come back" The sun came out and I was sure a rainbow would arc over the lighthouse that the couple stood in front of as they said there vows. This should bring encouragement to brides ... a little rain, or maybe a downpour, doesn't have to ruin your day. Maybe it will just make it a little more memorable.
