kevin and jenn | york golf & tennis club | york, maine

I had no idea the York Golf & Tennis Club was such an enchanting place to have a wedding. Of course it helped that it was a simply beautiful day! It was an intimate outside ceremony with beautiful views of the York river. All the details were planned by the Jenn and she did an amazing job! I loved the starfish that the groom and groomsmen wore on their lapels as well as all the other little touches.

matt and barbie | nonantum resort | kennebunkport

I'm afraid I've neglected my Blog for sometime now. But I have decided to catch up on my postings, so I'll start with Matt and Barbie's Wedding. All I can say is "what a fabulous day"! They couldn't have asked for better weather, their ceremony was at the beautiful St. Anne's by the Sea and reception was at the Nonantum resort ... one of my favorite venues. All the details of the day were planned to perfection by Barbie (who is starting her own wedding planning business) ... simply stated "gorgeous"!

ben and edie | boston harbor hotel | boston

What an absolutely unique, delightful and beautiful wedding ... and the Boston Harbor Hotel was the perfect location for it.  The ceremony was conducted by the groom's uncles — David and Jerry Zucker (they are the directors, producers and writers for movies including Ghost, Airplane and The Naked Gun)  and was a combination of both Jewish and Cambodian cultures and traditions.  Ben and Edie playfully referred to it as a "Jewbodian" wedding and it was both charming and hysterically funny at moments.

I had the privilege of working with Nancy Gould once again and her photographs are absolutely gorgeous.  Be sure to check out them out on her blog at Nancy Gould Photography.  A truly delightful and memorable day and Leah and I are so glad we could be a part of it. Congratulations Edie and Ben!

joe and meg | omni parker house | boston

A beautiful Spring day and the perfect start to our wedding season.  Leah and I filmed Meg and Joe's wedding at the Boston College Holy Trinity Chapel, what an adorable couple!  I love the way they interacted with each other during the ceremony, you can tell they are head over heals in love.

I had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite photographers, Nancy Gould.  She took the couple on a stroll outside the Omni Parker House, very romantic.

First time we've filmed at the Omni Parker House, wonderful venue ... incredible views of the Boston skyline and the staff was great to work with.  Here are some reception highlights as well as the Bride/Father dance with Meg and her Dad ... it was great!

Greg Hodges from 5 Star Events was the DJ and he was fantastic ... kept the crowd dancing the night away.  Check out the dancing highlights as well as their very touching closing montage.

Congratulations Joe and Meg!  I'm so glad Leah and I could be a part of your day.

Meg and Joe's postcard will be mailed soon inviting all their guests to view their wedding film online at:  www.videodesignweddings.com

The ICE Bar at the Portland Harbor Hotel

I had the pleasure of filming the annual ICE Bar at the Portland Harbor Hotel in Portland, ME   What a unique and fun way to embrace the winter!  Sounds a little crazy, but thousands of guests came through for a visit, sipped martini's bundled up in winter garb, warming their hands and toes by the toasty firepits, surrounded by white lights and glimmering ice sculptures as well as the bars that were made of ice.  It was a fun and festive atmosphere all around and ... the ice funnel that they poured the vodka through to make a variety of colorful and tasty martinis was very "cool" to watch.

If you missed it, be sure to check it out next year.  Check out the highlights video below:
